  1. This is who entered my mind on reading the name and place. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molly_Brown

Kathy Bates played her in that film.

  4. Thanks darlin'! And now for todaze Brown Palace trivia. The Beatles visited the Queen City in '64 or '65, stayed in the Brown Palace and played in Red Rocks Amphitheater, waaaaaaay out west of Denver. Wasn't much 'teen Denver and Red Rocks in those days. The Fab Four could well have expected a stage coach ride to the concert venue! Meanwhile, back in town, an enterprising hotel employee saved the unwashed (!) sheets upon which the band slept, cut them up into little pieces and sold said pieces to the fans as relics. 'strue, i read it somewheres!

  9. The Brown Palace is an amazing place. ONCE only in my very young youth I got to go with my parents to this delightful stupendous place. I think it must be a royal castle set down in Denver!
