Vegetarian restaurant menu; Kellogg wasn't the only crazy in the 1860s

Kellogg started a revolution in the late 1800s.
Some thought he was a kook.
Some still do.

Digestion is favored by:
A simple diet
Dry foods and thorough mastication
A cheerful, hopeful condition of mind
Regular, useful daily exercise

I've got at least one out of these four covered.

I've never been a big fan of nut loaf
so 30 cent still sounds like too much to pay for it.

Love,
M

  1. My problem with Kellogg is that his diet (and subsequently his development of corn flakes) was designed to kill your libido - he thought sex was dirty.

I'm all for healthy diets, but that's taking it just a wee bit too far.

  2. Kellogg was a bit strange. He didn't want to add sugar to anything--even if it made the food more palatable.
I personally like variety in my diet. Eating the same thing over and over--blehhh.

  5. You'd have to say that diet sheet would save you a ruddy fortune in fees to Dietitians for cholesterol lowering advise.
