I just downloaded an iPad app for Google Blogger this morning just to give it a try.
I'd love to tell you that it is great but the truth is I'm just trying it out for size. My first initial feeling is the the bright day glow orange header will render me insensible. The keyboard has to be switched to the largest setting in order to be used but now takes up half the screen of my iPad.
Let's try uploading a picture. Okay that is confusing. It uploaded the photo just fine but I'm not sure where it will show up on the page. Now, usually I'm up for a little mystery and am not married to practicality or anything but I'd really like to know where that picture will surface on the page. I'm all web designer like that.
Uh yeah, those are my two functions, typing and uploading pictures. Oh and it seems I can take a picture with the iPad within the app to upload into the post. That seemed to work okay but once again I don't know where it will show up and it doesn't let me write a caption on photos that I take within the system. So in lieu of a caption, this picture is of the view out of our really dirty hotel window. The mountain in the background is Camelback Mountain.
All in all, I'm not sure this is any easier than logging into Blogger via the web and dealing with the frustrations that causes.
Hmmmmm.....maybe there is a better app? Maybe, if I wasn't so cheap and actually paid for an app it would have more functionality and less obnoxious orange?
Time to hit the publish button to see what that gets me.
Sorry in advance if this all goes to hell,
