Super Dog

This would be my Corgie if he wasn't a little on the chubby side.

This was sent to me by my older son 'The Geek'. I thought it was adorable. Of course, I'm a bit of a dog nut.

I'm still in Chapel Hill, North Carolina so I won't be around a lot. I think we are planning to go to a baseball game on Thursday. Anyone remember that movie Bull Durham? We'll be going to see the Durham Bulls play. Since, baseball is the only professional "guy" sport that I understand I should at least know what is going on. I do know that I'll be picking up T-shirts. That's participating, right?

There is also a museum store in town that is selling some absolutely beautiful pottery. I walk by it a couple of times every day. There is a $168.00 vase that I have almost convinced myself that I can't live without it. It is a beautiful hand-thrown piece by a local artist that would look fantastic in my home. And, I'm all about supporting local artists. Unfortunately, the price is a little out of my comfort zone. I may just console myself with the $16.00 bud vase instead.

Have a great day everyone.
Love,
M

  1. My daughter wants a Corgi something fierce, but has settled for a cat (something I suspect is a rather devious move on her part, since I am allergic to cats).

I was going to say that Beloved would snatch me bald-headed if I bought a $168 vase, but then I remembered the so-very-not-cheap polished stone bookends we acquired when we bought the new bookshelves. Hand-thrown, huh? :)

  3. Rather you need to buy a piece that you can remodel the house around, than one that will fit into the existing scheme. Much more fun that way.
I got myself a dog. So all the carpets came up and wood flooring went down. And I'm not half so nutty about the spotlessness of the home.

  4. That dog looks like a beagle. My beagle would embody the words if only she weren't so stupid.

  5. If I had a dog I'd dress him like a lobster too. And is there anything between the $168 and the $16?

  6. You made me laugh...I would settle for the $16 bud vase also and ALWAYS long for the other.
