I know girl.....have you ever tried to wear a fox that was still alive?? I did once and it about scratched my eyes out, lol. Awwww.......at the leemer's :)
Awesome photo. My parents have several fur coats in storage that are basically heirlooms. They used to be in the basement closet and I would drag them out and cuddle in them. So wrong, but it felt so right... ;)
My mother owns several furs. She keeps telling me that I'm the lucky recipient when she's no longer around. I hate to tell her that wearing fur just isn't high on my list of things to do!
Oh Purveyor of Suspect Cookbooks, have you advised your gentle readers that your MIL attended Colorado Women's College? It was a classy place then, still is, which may explain why your esteemed MIL went there and why she and her colleagues do not look slobby. Slobby young women would not have been admitted to CWC. That doesn't explain your checkered Keds, though.
Wow, who knew muskrat could look so good!

Interesting piece of history with that letter!
ReplyDeleteShe makes muskrat look good.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fur girl, but I kind wish it wasn't so wrong to like it.
I don't know about muskrats, but minks are mean little bastards. I wouldn't feel bad wearing one. I'd look a little fruity, but I wouldn't feel bad.
ReplyDeleteMy aunt actually owned a muskrat farm? ranch? bredding place to send their fur to make coats? : )
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
I think it's fab. Great picture! And in another place and time. . .I would totally rock that coat.
ReplyDeleteIs a muskrat like a ferret?
ReplyDeleteVery classy picture.. people weren't as slobby looking back then, no? And PETA didn't throw buckets of paint back then either.
