How do I stalk thee? Let me count the ways.

How do I stalk thee? Let me count the ways.
I stalk thee to the depth and breadth and height
Your blog can reach, man you are really out of sight
For the ends of being Canadian and making ideal Grilled Cheese men.

Ok, that is enough of that.

This is my Secret Santa Spin and that little snippet of abused Elizabeth Barrett Browning is my gift to Captain Dumbass over at Us and Them. Who happens to be one of the funniest of men. I go through my Google reader very early in the morning and reading the Capt.'s latest post just makes my day. Really, all day. I kid you not.

His Grilled Cheese men series of blogs makes me laugh every. single. time. If you haven't seen this one click right over there now. It's ok! I'll wait for you. Cue Jeopardy theme music........ So what did you think? The one line caption is priceless! "just like chicken" HeeHeeHee! It's stuff like this that keeps me coming back.

Between pedicures, manicures and getting their hair done the Capt. and Jeff over at Goodfather cooked up a couple of awards that were inventive and oh so manly. Nice, huh?

I love that fact that he calls his wife the "Supreme Leader". What a sweet and wonderful thing to call your wife. And, I don't think he means it in a derogatory way either. Cuz, I get the impression that she could kick his butt if she felt like it and he's not stupid.

His sense of humor, honesty, and creativeness keeps me coming back to his site over and over again. To tell you the truth I wouldn't blame him if he adopted a healthy fear of my IP address. Visiting 3 times a day is probably a little excessive and creepy but I just have to show the latest post to JR, co-workers and any of the homeless that come to the library to check their email.

So, Captain, Connor, Liam, and Supreme Leader have a very happy holiday season. Drive carefully if you decide to go to Kamloops. (I've been there. It's freaking cold this time of year.)

For those of you who have never experience the delight that is Captain Dumbass please pop right over. Be sure to stop by to see Jen at Sprite's Keeper also. She coordinates this whole Spin cycle thingy and does a damn fine job of it too. While there check out some new people or re-visit some old ones.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Love,
M

  2. HA! If I hadn't had to shovel the driveway 6 times today I would have been here sooner. This is soooo sweet! Thank you. And you've been to my home town? I'm shocked. You are officially my favourite librarian.

We decided against the trip home, it was just too dangerous and I didn't want us to be one of those sad stories you hear about over the holidays and shake your head as you're reaching for your next glass of whatever.

I have to go get Supreme Leader to come read this...

  3. Supreme Leader now loves you because not only do you have one of her dream jobs, you love cooking. I am commenting for her because she is a terrible lurker.
