How Does Your Garden Grow?

I'm going to say pretty damn
fast

I planted these basil and a mixed herb seeds on Sunday afternoon.

Yep, 70 degree night time temps and rain works like a charm.

Love,
M

  1. Well done!

Send some rain please! (But you can keep the night time heat. I prefer my evenings cool.)

  2. I don;t know about you, but I'd say that counts as a talent! Screw the temps. It's you behind the magic! Wanna link it?

  7. You're lucky you live in a climate where you can plant basil now - I have tons of it that came up from my spring planting (okay Devoted spouse did it because I couldn't bend over - and still can't, dammit) I miss gardening so much you can't imagine. I hope and pray that by next Spring my back will allow me to do a little gardening - this year DS did my herb garden then put in a few tomatoes and peppers - it was a lean garden year. *sigh*

  8. That's pretty damn quick. Unfortunately, the weeds grow twice as fast as the plants around here so my landscaping needs some work.

  9. Are you sure that's not going to grow into a magic beanstalk?

  10. Check it out! I finally ripped up my basil this year. I can't believe I grew up in the country - last summer I harvested a bunch of basil for a recipe, then I grossed myself out when I found a little snail hanging out in the leaves. I couldn't eat what I made after that. I guess I got all citified...

  12. Holy crap. See what happens when you mix herbs? They multiply. Makes you wonder what they were doing under ground.

  14. last week we returned from visiting our daughter. she too has herb garden and loves the feel of dirt under fingernails.

    our mother found gardening therapeutic.

we, OTOH, pick our food from supermarket shelves and wouldn't have it any other way.

    must've skipped a generation.
    :-(

    kudos on your green thumb!

  15. I love this idea of the pool garden. With summer ending I am on the look out for some old pools in good condition. I may even plant a fall garden. Thanks for the good information.
